Explanation :-

1789-

The population of France rose from above 23 million in 1715 to 28 million in 1789 this led to substsistence crisis

On my 1789 Louis XVI called together and assembly of estates general to pass proposals for new taxes . Convocation of estates general, 3rd estate form national assembly,the palace of Bastille is stormed, peasent revolts in the countryside.

On the night of 4th August 1789 the assembly passed a decree abolishing the feudal system of obligation and Taxes.

In this year France also abolishes censorship.

1791 :-

In 1791 the national assembly completed the draft of constitution and made France a constitutional monarchy.

1792 :-

In 1792 the national assembly voted in April to declare war against Prussia and Austria.

On 21st September 1792 France abolishes monarchy and became republic.

1793 to 1794

On 21st January 1793 Louis XVI was sentenced to death by a court on the charge of treason he was executed publicity at place de la Concorde. the Queen Mary antoinettie met with the same fate shortly after.

The period from 1793 to 1794 is referred to as region of terror.because it was a time when Robespierre and jacobin club was ruling the country robespierre followed the policy of several control and punishment for all those whom he saw as being enemies of the Republic were arrested and then tried by the court if the court found them guilty they were guillotined.

In July 1794 finally Robesperre was arrested and on the next day he was sent to Guillotine.

1804 to 1848

In 18O4 Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself as emperor of France.

In 1815 Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated in Waterloo in Waterloo

In 1848 slavery was abolished in French colonies.

1946

In 1946 women of France won the right to vote.
