Ohmic conductors are instruments which obey Ohm's law while non Ohmic conductors are instruments which do not obey the Ohm's law. Graph of ohmic conduction has a straight slope and non-ohmic conduction do not have fast and slope. Ohm is unit of resistance. Resistance is the obstruction offered in the the direction of flow of electric current.

◆Refer to the attachment below for the VI graph of ohmic and non ohmic conductors .

◆Examples of such are,

Ohmic conductor - resistance made of manganin.

Non ohmic conductor - Electrolyte.

Drawbacks of OHM'S LAW

◆Main drawback of Ohm's law is , when it comes to the terminal of battery or voltage source, it's not applicable.

At terminal of battery, voltage is constant with the respect of current.

◆Only when temperature and given conditions during process are constant, ohms law is valid.
