Draw the velocity time graph and derive the position time relation for a body moving with uniform acceleration.

Answer:

Final velocity = initial velocity + at

Explanation:

Let the velocity on the y-axis and time on x-axis.

Suppose the body moving with constant acceleration "a" and at the time t = 0. the velocity of body is

after passing time t it will be equal to   which is the final velocity.

If we look on the velocity time graph then the slope of graph is given as

slope of line AB = BF / AF = (GB-GF) / AF

And according to graph

GB= final velocity

GF = initial velocity

AF = CG = time = t

so

a = (final velocity - initial velocity ) / time

and

Final velocity = initial velocity + at

which is required answer
