Draw velocity – time graphs for the following real-life examples. a. A train moving on a straight path along a particular direction with constant velocity. b. A train starting from a station, picking up velocity, then moving with a constant velocity and finally coming to rest at the next station. c. A motorbike running at uniform velocity is brought to rest by uniform retarding force of the brakes. d. A freely falling stone under the action of gravity. e. A ball projected vertically upwards returns to the thrower. f. A motorist moving on a crowded road, who has to alternately increase and decrease the speed of his vehicle in a particular direction.

Answer:
These are velocity time graphs to show constant speed, accelerating speed and decelerating speed.
The speed is plotted on the Y axis and the time in the X axis.
a) For this graph we will have a straight line through the value of the constant velocity and parallel to the x axis to show constant velocity.
b) For this one, we will have have a graph that begins from zero velocity upto a certain velocity where the velocity becomes constant for some time then the velocity decreases back to zero.
This will form a trapezium kind of motion.
