Q.Drawbacks of Rutherford Timic model ?
Answer:-
------------------------------------------
☆Rutherford overturned Thomson's model in 1911 with his well-known gold foil experiment .
------------------------------------------
☆Rutherford has a drawback that as the nucleus and electrons are held together by electrostatic forces of attraction, it would lead to the fusion of the nucleus with elecrons.
☆This does not happen in atom. For this ruthorford gave gave the explination that electrons revolve around the nucleus in spiral path which is also not satisfactory as in a spiral path energy is lost by the electrons and ultimetely fallinto nucleus, but atoms are stable.
------------------------------------------
☆After this Niels Bohr introduce new model.
