In J . J Thomson plum pudding model no separation between electrons and protons as they are hold together inside the atom which is not possible and leads to un-stability of the atom.

1) An atom consists of a positively charged sphere and electrons are embeded in it.
2) The negative and positive charges are equal in magnitude. So,the atom as a whole is electrically neurtal.
