Answer:

a) we will observe that the raisins placed in water start swelling up due to diffusion of water inside the cell of raisins by diffusion.

b) the process is known as cytolysis happens in hypotonic solution in which the concentration of outer media is more than concentration inside the cell.

c) when the concentration of outer media as well as inside the cell is equal then it is known as isotonic solution

First they placed in the hypotonic solution and the placed in a hypertonic solution.

Answer:-

a) When the raisins are placed in water they swell up because the water moves(osmosis) in them to place equilibrium in the solution and the cell.

b) The process is known as endosmosis. After this the cell becomes turgid.

c) An isotonic solution is the one wherein the concentration in the cell is almost equal to that of the solution. Thus, the is not net movement of water
