Answer:The passive would almost never be appropriate in this kind of sentence. Another respondent has posted “water was drunk by me” but, not only is this in the wrong tense, it is, more importantly, not a sentence anybody would ever actually say.
Although “water is drunk by me” is theoretically a correct sentence, using the passive correctly requires that you get a feel for when it is appropriate. I cannot imagine a context in which this sentence would not seem awkward and weird in the passive voice.
The passive is generally used when we wish to express factual statements with no emotional associations, stress actions in terms of their results rather than agents, or report on events where the agent is either unknown or unimportant. None of these contexts seem to readily apply to your statement that you drink water.
