kinetic energy
 =  \frac{1}{2}m {v}^{2}
work done = F × s
and F = ma and
 s =  {v}^{2} -  {u}^{2}  \div 2a
so work done
 = ma \times ( {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}) \times  \frac{1}{2a}
and if u =0
then
 =  \frac{1}{2}m {v}^{2}
