Drop half a table spoon of food colouring dye or 3 to 4 drops of ink into a glass of hot water and another containing cold water. Do not stir the solution. What happens as time passes? What does this suggest about the particles of solid and liquid?

the dye will get diffused in warmer water in lesser time than that in colder water. this is due to the higher kinetic energy of the molecules of water in warmer temperature. this experiment tells us about the relation of kinetic energy of particles of any matter with change in temperature. kinetic energy increases with increase in temperature.
