The reasons for drought and famine around the world and their effects on crops and people are mentioned below :

- Famine is caused under certain conditions when there is crop failure , sudden rise in population or either their is war crisis due to the world war conditions.

- Inadequate high temperature , soil and air content and huge amount of water scarcity causes drought in certain areas due to which production of crops fail in certain areas.

- Due to these two conditions people are majorly affected in certain areas and they suffer from malnutrition , starvation , death due to lack of food etc.

- In India certain places like Bihar and Gujarat are suffering from drought and famine.

- Whereas South Africa and Australia also suffers from drought once in a year.
