Lines l and n are parallel to each other and line n is the transversal.
Then, we are getting the following angles and the relations ( vise versa )
- Alternate angles(interior)
⟶ ( ∠1 , ∠4 ), ( ∠2 , ∠3 )
- Alternate angles(exterior)
⟶ ( ∠6 , ∠7 ), ( ∠5 , ∠8 )
- Corresponding angles
⟶ ( ∠5 , ∠3 ), ( ∠6 , ∠4 ), ( ∠1 , ∠7 ) and ( ∠2 , ∠3 )
- Vertically opposite angles
⟶ ( ∠3 , ∠8 ), ( ∠5 , ∠2 )
↪ NOTE ↩
- All the pairs of all alternate angles are equal.
- All the pairs of corresponding angles are equal.
- Two angles formed by two intersecting lines having no common aam are called vertically opposite angles.Vertically opposite angles are also said to be equal.
- An angle is a figure formed by two rays with a common arm.
