as the pituitary gland is known as the master gland of our body and controls many hormones so affecting it may harm us in many ways-
1) it releases prolactin hormone which helps in production of milk in the time of childbirth
2) it produces growth hormone which simulates the growth in our body and affecting the pituitary gland may also affect the growth in the the body
