=======================

let the total capacity of oil tank be x

=>drum of kerosene oil is 3 /4 .

=>when 30 litres of oil is drawn from it it is 7 / 2full

so lets form an equation

=>
 \frac{3x}{4} - 30 =  \frac{7x}{2}

=>
\frac{3x}{4} - 30 = \frac{14x}{4}

=
30 = \frac{14x}{4}-\frac{3x}{4}

=>
30 = \frac{11x}{4}

=>11x = 30*4

=>11x = 120

=>x = 120/11

=>x = 10.9090 ....litres

=>x = 10.91 litres

==========================

hope it helps u.................

let the capacity of drum is x

7/2x - 30 = 3/4

7/2x = 3/4 + 30

7/2x = 123/4

x = ( 123×2)/ (4 × 7)

x = 246 / 28

x = 8.8

Capacity is 8.8
