The pressure of the air will increase by 8 times when it is compressed to 1/4th of its original volume.

Explanation:

From the gas law we know that,

PV^γ = constant

=> P₁V₁^γ = P₂V₂^γ

=> P₂/P₁ = (V₁/V₂)^γ

since after compression the volume becomes 1/4 times the original volume

volume becomes 1/4 => V₁/V₂ = 4

and γ = 1.5

putting these value in the given equation we get,

P₂/P₁ = 4¹°⁵ = 2²⁽¹°⁵⁾ = 2³ = 8

=> P₂ = 8P₁

Hence the pressure of the gas will increase by 8 times.

I hope it helps you.
