Dry ice is in reality Carbon Dioxide, which has been converted into a solidified state by applying a great amount of pressure on it . Therefore, when dry ice does not receive the pressure, or when the pressure is removed, then the state of dry ice changes to the state of gaseous carbon dioxide again.
