Dry ice should not be stored in a sealed bottle. Explain with an appropriate reason. (Plz help!!!!)

Answer:

Never store it in an sealed container as the sublimated CO2 gas will sink and can be dangerous. If airtight it can make a dry ice bomb causing the container to explode. You might think the freezer is a great place to keep it cool but it actually too warm.

Explanation:

Due to the fast emission of immense volumes of CO2 gas due to the sublimation of dry ice. That means the from solid form to gas form which means volume increases very rapidly. Dry ice that is stored in a closed  container can pressurize the container. On building immense pressure the container gets explode. This is why dry ice should only be stored under well-ventilated conditions.
