DRYOPITHECUS is more similar to Apes.

Extra Information => During the late Miocene period in Eurasia a genus of extinct apes which is Dryopithecus is known.

About Dryopithecus ::

1. It was about 4 feet (1.2 m) long.

2. Resembled a monkey other than a modern ape.

3. Structure of its limbs and wrists tells us that it walked in a way which was similar to modern chimpanzees.

4. But , the point is that it used the flat of its hands which were like a monkey rather than knuckle-walking like modern apes.

5.Face exhibited klinorhynchy which means it was tilted downwards in profile.

6. Dryopithecus was suspensory and it had a large brain and also had a delayed development.

7. It had a gracile jaw with thinly enameled molars and suspensory forelimbs.
