Two young men, Daman and Pythias lived in Syracuse, which was ruled by a cruel king named Dionysus. Once the king heard that these two men went to the neighbouring country and said all the cruel things that Dionysis did to the people and said the neighbouring country's king, Suth to get into a war against Dionysis. But the reality is that Suth and Dionysis were best friends. So Suth informed his friend that those two men spoke gossip about him.. At this time those two men returned to their country, they were called to the court by the king. They went to the court and then they informed the king why they said so and they said what they heard in their neighbouring country . It was that the king Suth is planing a war against Dionysis the following month. At first the king did not believe it ,then slowly and steadily after hearing everything he believed it. Then the next month came, believing the two young men, the king Dionysis was ready with his soldiers. As the two guys said, the king Suth with his soldiers came for a war. The king Dionysis was very shocked to see his friend deceiving him. Then just in order to save his country, he got onto war and he won the war. Suth died in this war and after that the king changed from cruel to good king and he made the two young men as his ministers and ruled his country in a good way.
Moral : Even a best friend can deceive you if he gets any profit. So always be careful.
