Explanation:
Fission, in biology, is the division of a single entity into two or more parts and the regeneration of those parts to separate entities resembling the original. The object experiencing fission is usually a cell, but the term may also refer to how organisms, bodies, populations, or species split into discrete parts.

BINARY FISSION :
In the case of bacteria when the cells split into two daughter cells is known as binary fission.
- Binary fission is considered as a form of asexual reproduction.
- It is observed in prokaryotes and single celled eukaryotic organsims.
- The common example of the bacteria which reproduce through binary fission is amoeba.
• There are four types of binary fission :
- Irregular binary fission : When the cell divides at any plane is known as irregular binary fission.
- Transverse binary fission : When the cell divides along the transverse axis is known as transverse binary fission.
- Longitudinal binary fission : When the cell divides longitudinally is known as longitudinal binary fission.
- Oblique binary fission : When the cell divides obliquely is known as oblique binary fission.
