du 9, JJ, ale ledig a tenor Sin each case.
Find the greatest number which can divide 78, 230, and 682 leaving remainders 3, 5, and 7 respectively
please don't give faltu answer
and please tell me with full explanation ​

Answer:

Whenever we divide any number, we get a quotient and a remainder........

Dividend=Quotient*Divisor + Remainder

Of we pick up 78 then 3 should be the remainder which means 78-3 or 75 should be a perfect Q*R

(perfect Q*R is a multiple of our answer)

Similarly we subtract 5 from 230 which gives 225

And subtracting 7 from 682 gives 625

Now we have to find HCF of these three

So we get 25(refer to the pic)
