Due to Adarsh Gram Yojana in Maharashtra not only agriculture but also animal husband by got well developed
Explanation:
- The Adarsh Gram Yojna which is a rural development programme launched by the central govt for the development of villages has improved both agriculture and animal husbandry in Maharashtra
- In agriculture strategie such as soil Health Cards were prepared, Micro Irrigation/drip irrigation infrastructure was established and Agro Service Centres were set up, seed bank was also established, Crop intensification such as System of Rice Intensification (SRI) was practiced, solar pumping system was introduced, and technology transfer for organic farming to the farmers’ groups, especially women was undertaken. Because of this it led to reduced utilisation of chemical fertiliser and chemical pesticides, enhanced production of organic manure and the use of organic pesticides, and availability of farm machinery at reasonable hire charges, and sustainable agriculture and organic farming.
- Incase of animal husbandry strategies such as Construction of worksheds, setting-up of market linkages such as cooperatives, setting up of and functioning of animal health care facilities, post harvest storage & grading facilities created, Processing units/cooperative facilities were set up, rural enterprise units established, enhancing livestock based livelihoods by way of better management practices as well as well-planned linkages, small scale dairy processing coupled with marketing of such produce, setting up of Gobar Banks for organic manure, among others were implemented. Because of this it led to enhanced livestock based incomes, better price realisation for agricultural and allied produce, significant/substantial proportion of agricultural and dairy produce is processed in the village before being marketed outside, and enhanced incomes and employment
