let rate of one egg be x

increase of 30% in price

6 eggs less available for 7.8

So with 30% of 7.8 , 6 eggs available at 130% of x

30% of 7.8 = 6 × 130% of x

30 (7.8) = 6( 130) x

x = 30(7.8)/6(130)

= 23.4/ 78

= 0.3

So rate of one egg is 0.3

so for 12 eggs rate = 0.3× 12

= 3.6 rs

Let rate of one egg be x.

Increase of 30% in price.

7 eggs less available for 7.8

30% of 7.8= 6×130%of x

30(7.8) = 6(130)x

x = 30×7.8/6×130

=23.4/78

=0.3

So, rate of 1 egg is 0.3

12 eggs rate= 0.3×12

=Rs. 3.6
