the family tried to support the tree with a wire to make it upright. The tree was supported
by a wire anchored to the ground 5 feet from its base. The wire is 1 foot longer than the

=> Height of tree it reaches = L - 1   ft

=> Perpendicular Height = L - 1 ft

Hypostenuse² = Base² + Length²

=> L² = 5² + (L - 1)²

=> L² = 25 + L² + 1 - 2L

=> 2L = 26

=> L = 13
