Let the initial speed of train is ‘x’ km/h
time taken to reach the destination point= 1 hour
so, distance travelled by train = x km
a/c to question,
due to technical snag, speed of train reduced to 3/4th of its usual speed.
so, the speed of train = 3x/4 km/h
distance travelled by train = initially distance travelled by train = x km
so, time taken = distance travelled/speed of train
= x/(3x/4) = 4/3 hours.
hence, time is 4/3 hours.
