Men’s clothes divide them into different sections. Such as the poor, middle class and rich . They tells us about our responsibilities and our place in the society. Once we wear clothes that a rich in fashion or neat compared to that of people with less money that means we are rich or financially better. This becomes a problem when when we want to sit down next to the poor and talk about their difficulties, our role in the society will go down .
On the footpath near the market, there was a lady selling melons. But no one bought the melons as she was crying hard. The people in the market who were standing around her were talking about her life with hatred. Seeing this the author become curious but he couldn’t ask or talk to the lady about that so he asked the people in the nearby shops and got to know that her one and only son had died and there was a ritual going on in their house.
The son died because a snake bit him when he was in the farm. The lady had tried to save the son by bringing the priests home but it was no use. All things in the house also were gone as the payments for the rituals. Her grandchildren were hungry and her daughter in law was sick but what to do she didn’t even have anything at home or even money to buy food...so she had no other option than selling the melons....the author on seeing her remembered a lady in his neighborhood who faced the death of her son too, but she was rich and all the people showed sympathy for her. But the poor lady was neither rich nor got the sympathy from others.
Those people who have money have the responsibility and time for becoming sad but not for the poor..
Hope it helped
