Yes, the environment gets highly polluted because of dumping of metallic and non-metallic waste materials.

Metallic waste materials are the scraps left over that contains metals. Most of the metals are recyclable.

Examples:

• Beverage tins, foil used to wrap food items that are made of aluminium.
• Tarnished safety pins, any broken kitchen utensils, toys made up of lead are metal scraps that can be recycled.

Non-metallic waste materials are the garbage items that do not contain metal.

Examples:

Plastic covers, broken plastic toys that are difficult to recycle.

Try to reduce the usage of plastics and lead contaminated items, that are hazardous to health and environment!
