Answer:

Radius=Diameter/2

=2.8/2

=1.4m

Area of table top=πr^2

=22/7×1.4×1.4

= 6.16sq.m

Cost of polishing the table top=6.16×25

The cost of polishing if the rate of  polishing is 25 per sq.m. is Rs.154

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of circular table = 2.8 m

Radius of circular table =\frac{Diameter }{2}=\frac{2.8}{2}=1.4 m

Area of circular table =\pi r^2

                                   = \frac{22}{7} \times 1.4^2

                                   =6.16 m^2

Cost of polishing 1 sq.m. = Rs.25

Cost of polishing 6.16 sq.m. =25 \times 6.16 =Rs.154

Hence The cost of polishing if the rate of  polishing is 25 per sq.m. is Rs.154
