During a thunderstorm, the thunder is heard 2 seconds after the flash of lightning is seen. If the speed of soumd is 340 m/s, calculate the distance at which the lightning takes place.

Speed of light is 300000 kilometers/sec... so time taken by light is almost 0 seconds.
so time taken by sound=2 seconds

speed of sound=340m/s

We know that :-
Distance=speed× time

Distance=340×2=680 m
