adsorption the deltaH is negative. when a gas is absorbed on a solid surface , it's movement is restricted leading to a dicrease in the entropy of the gas i. e.,ΔS is negative. now the process to be spontaneous,ΔG should be negative.
ΔG=Δ H-TΔS

The adsorption leads to order through the formation of an activated complex between the adsorbate and adsorbent.
