 \: in \: this \: experiment \: the \: law \: of \\ conservation \: of \: mass \: is \: satisfied. \\ \\ the \: reason \: depends \: upon \: the \\ \: frame \: of \: observation \: of \: the \\ \: experiment. \\ \\ you \: have \: to \: consider \: the \: air \\ \: surrounding \: the \: magnesium \\ \: strip. \\ \\ in \: this \: experiment \: the \: mass \\ \: of \: magnesium \: strip \: is \: 40gm \\ \: but \: after \:burning \: it \: the \: mass \: of \\ \: air \: around \: it \: is \: also \: added. \\ \\ air \: in \: the \: sense \: different \\ \: kinds \: of \: gases. \\ \\ mass \: of \: gases \: deposited \: on \: magnesium \\ strip \: \: \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 80 - 40 \: = \: 40 \: gm. \\ \\ \: so \: here \: reactant \: side \: mass \: will \\ be \: of \: magnesium \: strip \: and \: gases \: \\ surrounding \: it \: too \: . \\ \\ so \: law \: of \: conservation \: of \: mass \\ \: is \: satisfied.
