During the change of state, there is no rise in temperature of the material on heating it.
The heat supplied is used to overcome the intermolecular force of attraction for changing the state. This is also known as Latent heat. So, the heat applied helps in changing the state and doesn't raise the temperature of the material.

Answer:
1. No. Temperature doesn't rises on heating because all of the heat supplied gets used up in breaking the intermolecular force of attractions.
2. The heat gets stored un it as a form of latent heat.
