Answer:

Know the full range of symptoms of COVID-19. The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, dry cough, and tiredness. Other symptoms that are less common and may affect some patients include loss of taste or smell, aches and pains, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, red eyes, diarrhoea, or a skin rash.

• Stay home and self-isolate even if you have minor symptoms such as cough, headache, mild fever, until you recover. Call your health care provider or hotline for advice. Have someone bring you supplies. If you need to leave your house or have someone near you, wear a medical mask to avoid infecting others.

• If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately. Call by telephone first, if you can and follow the directions of your local health authority.

• Keep up to date on the latest information from trusted sources, such as WHO or your local and national health authorities.

What an exciting and fulfilling day it was! Today my parents and I helped the needy people in our locality who are affected by Corona Virus pandemic.

As country is under complete lockdown due to pandemic, migrant labourers and daily wage workers are the worst affected. In absence of any source of income, it is difficult for them to arrange food for their family and to make their ends meet. When I came to know about their plight and miserable conditions through Newspapers and TV News, I was deeply saddened. I disparately wanted to do something for them. Though government was doing its best to help them, I too wanted to contribute as a responsible citizen.

An idea of distributing food packets to the needy people in our locality flashed into my mind. My parents also happily agreed with me. My joy knew no bounds when the other residents of my area also joined in after we shared the idea with them. It was decided that every house will prepare at least 10 food packets.

We excitedly started the preparation and I felt as if there were spring in my feet. I helped my parents in everything right from arranging things, cooking and packing. When we reached and distributed the food packets, the poor people smiled brightly. They all blessed us with good health and bright future. I felt a strange divine fulfilment by seeing their smiling faces. We also distribute them face masks and sanitisers and educated them about hygiene and social distancing.

Today’s events filled me up with contentment and happiness. I promised myself that I would continue to do my bit for the society. Empathy and compassion is what make us humans. Afterall, sharing is caring!
