pure water is a bad conductor of electricity...

by adding sulphuric acid it becomes a conductor and start conducting electricity

volume of gases is 2:1

gas collected at anode is hydrogen and at cathode is oxygen....

hydrogen gas is envoled with oxygen gas

their volume is in ratio 2:1 (H : o)
