During electrolysis why is the volume of gas collection at one electrode double than the other

Two molecules of water on decomposing gives two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen. Since two H2 are decomposed per one O2 ,the gas collected at the cathode is double that the volume of gas collected at anode
