After that K attacks to X to get more stable then, it removes X from the alpha carbon and forms KX.

Later on, the hygrogen also gets removed from the beta carbon and reacts with OH⁻ and forms H-OH(water), the remaining carbon chain turns into alkene due to positive and negative charge.
