During exercise, changes occur within the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Describe these changes and why they occur to maintain internal balance. This is a 500-word essay but I need help in terms of what references I can use.
questions that should be answered.

Answer:

1. Respiratory system and cardiovascular system work together by transferring the oxygen to all body parts.

2. Homeostasis refers to the stability, balance or equilibrium. Physiologically, it is the body's attempt to maintain a constant and balanced internal environment, which requires persistent monitoring and adjustments as conditions change.

3. Because of vasodilation

Explanation:

1. The respiratory system works in co-ordination with the circulatory system for the transfer and transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide molecules. Every cell in our body needs oxygen to serve the function properly and smoothly. We bring oxygen into our body through the process of inhalation. We breathe in air through our mouth and nose, and it travels through our trachea (windpipe) into our lungs and ultimately into the tiny sacs called alveoli. Its in the alveoli that the respiratory system and circulatory system meet with each other. Oxygen molecules pass right through the walls of the alveoli and into tiny blood vessels called capillaries. From there, oxygen is transported through the blood stream to all parts of the body. Likewise, carbon dioxide takes the opposite path. It is produced in cells as a waste product, and travels through the blood stream into capillaries. It passes through capillary walls into the alveoli and also the lungs. We breathe out the carbon dioxide when we exhale.

2. Homeostasis is also called as stability, balance or equilibrium. It is defined as the body's attempt to maintain a constant and balanced internal environment which usually requires persistent monitoring and adjustments according to the conditions change.

3. Vasodilation of the arterial tree usually results in the increased blood flow which carries more oxygen to the tissues per unit time. In addition, the enhanced blood flow increases the micro-vessel hematocrit which also supports the increased oxygen delivery to the active muscles.
