Hey
During fasting , energy is obtained by the conversion of glycogen into glucose .
The mechanism is as follows :-
>> Pancreas secrets a hormone , named insulin , which converts the excess amount of glucose ( suger ) present in our blood into glycogen .
>> During fasting or starvation , pamcrease secrets another hormone , named glucagon , which converts the glycogen back into glucose . Hence , providing energy to the body .
# Also , carbohydrates , protein and fats and interchangable .
thanks :)
