During interphase
In (Synthesis phase or s phase) = .DNA replication occurs
. chromosomes are duplicated but remain attached
But after Interphase
In prophase = each chromosomes duplicates to form two sister chromatids

My question is this,
when chromosomes are already duplicated in Interphase then how it will again duplicate in prophase

PLEASE ANSWER FAST.....It is very necessary.

in s phase there is replication of DNA just the amount of DNA doubles there is no increase in chromosome number so chromosome. duplicates in prophase

Anuku04468: it is mentioned that chromosomes are also duplicate in interphase
pimpalgavkar: but there no duplication of chromosome
Anuku04468: it means this sentence is incorrect?but it is in book
