Answer:

Gametes are produced by mitosis (not meiosis) and after fertilization a diploid zygote is created. The single zygote cell never grows or divides my mitosis. It can only divide by meiosis to produce haploid cells once more, which then produce the main adult body.

Answer:When the division occurs in the haploid cell then the type of division will be mitosis and when the division occurs in the diploid cells then meiosis occurs. Mitosis is the equational division (Chromosome number remains same) while meiosis is the reductional division (Divide chromosomes into half). Organisms that are primitive like monera, fungi, algae, bryophytes etc have a haploid plant body so in them mitosis occurs at the time of gamete formation.

So, the correct option is 'Algae, Fungi, and Bryophytes'.
