HYDROGEN WHICH IS PRODUCED BY THE REACTION OF ZINC AND SULPHURIC ACID IS HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE SO CARE MUST BE TAKEN SO THAT THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN IS SLOW DURING REACTION

The tube must be dipped inside the acid, because hydrogen is formed in the reaction of the zinc granules and the acid, as the hydrogen is highly explosive, if the tube is not dipped inside, damage acquires. So, be sure to dip the tube in the acid.
