Yes it is different.because even now the women r being educated and even they are feeling that they r part of society with equal respect and equal responsibility .So now they r too equal with the men .And yes it is different from the medival period .
The mediaeval period was from 1300-1500bc.in those the Anabaptists the persons who were rich were the people who dominated the society saying that women should be dominated by men .But in those times their were the merchants who gave equal importance to men.only they treated the women as today.when their husbands were far away the were the ones who looked after the buisseness..
