DURING OSMOSIS FLOW OF WATER Through a semipermeable membrane IS FROM

1: Solution having lower concentration only

2:From solution having high concentration

3:From both sides of semipermeable membrane with equal flow rates

4: From both sides of semipermeable membrane with unequal flow rates

I think answer to be 1 but in the book it's given that answer is no.4 WHY?

the flow of water is from both sides of semi permiable membrane having higher and lower concentration but higher volume of water goes to the lower concentration side
