During photosynthesis, plants take in CO2 and give out O2, while during respiration the plants take in O2 and give out CO2. Photosynthesis usually occurs during daytime while respiration occurs continuously for 24 hours. Then how does the balance of O₂ and CO2 remain almost constant ?
