During practical class, if you remove the tip of the onion roots, will the roots continue to grow longer even after we removed their root tips? Why?

Explanation:

When the root tips of onion bulb are cut, the cells in the root tip die and hence, growth stops because the tip of the roots contains the meristematic tissue which is responsible for growth. Meristematic tissues are at a constant state of division.

when we cut onion root tip,the apical Meristem tissues are cute off..... the apical the Meristem is the main dividing tissue IN the root and shoot which increases the length.......as a result the growth of root is stopped IN these roots...... n
