During rainy seasons, the ground becomes slippery due to dense growth of D) Cyanobacteria.

Cyanobacteria are bacteria that obtain energy through photosynthesis. They contain flattened thylakoids that are filled with the chlorophyll. They mostly live in soil either maintaining a symbiotic relationship between plants or fungi forming lichens.

Some of these cyanobacteria help in nitrogen fixation. The cyanobacteria contain the heterocyst that helps to fix the atmospheric nitrogen even in the case of anaerobic conditions.
