during snowfall, what falls from the sky? ice crystals or snowflakes? If the answer is ice crystals, then how do these crystals turn into snow?

During snowfall ice crystals fall from sky.
When water evaporates it forms water vapour which when condense and form rain , but when the temperature decreases the water is more condensed and it becomes more cool and form ice crystals which then fall on Earth .
