Solution :-

Scheme is Buy 2 and Get 1 Free .

So,

→ Jeans he gets free = 1

→ Total jeans he gets = 2 + 1 = 3

then,

→ Total discount he gets = (1/3) * 100 = (100/3)% .

Now,

→ MP of jeans = Rs.2250

→ Discount = (100/3)% = 1/3

→ SP = {MP * (100 - Discount %)}/100 = {2250 * (1 - 1/3)} = 2250 * (2/3) = Rs. 1500

now,

→ SP of jeans = Rs.1500

→ Profit = 25%

→ CP = (SP * 100) / (100 + Profit%) = (1500 * 100)/125 ≈ Rs.1200 (Ans.)

Given :  During the festival season, a dealer sells Jeans under the "Buy 2 and Get 1 Free'' scheme and makes a profit of 25% on the coast price. the marked price of one such Jeans or is rs 2250

To Find : Cost price.

Solution:

"Buy 2 and Get 1 Free''

Hence Total SP = 2 * MP of one

Total CP   = 3 * CP of one

CP = Cost Price = C

MP = Marked Price = 2250 Rs

Total SP = 2 * 2250 = 4500 Rs

Total CP = 3C  Rs

Profit = (25/100) 3C = 3C/4 Rs

SP = 3C + 3C/4  = 15C/4  Rs

15C/4 = 4500

=> C = 4 * 300

=> C = 1200

Hence Cost price of a jeans = Rs 1200
