Dear diary,
Today was a day of great adventure and my wits were put to a test. I had prepared very well for the 'ENGLISH" test and felt very confident. I set out of my house and started revising the tenses and the types of phrases on my way to school. I noticed that other students were cautiously revising something with their heads buried deep into their books. I felt that something was wrong, but I brushed the feeling away. So, i jokingly snatched a book from my friend and said, " Why are you all so tensed about English ? You all act as if it is math exam today!" I was already in the exam hall, surrounded by some worried students, when upon hearing my statement, all heads rose. I kept staring at my friend and checked the subject of the book she was revising from. To my horror, it read in big BOLD letters, 'MATH'. A chill ran down my spine as the bell rang and I heard the teacher say, "Class, keep all your books away, get ready for the exam." I realized what I had got into. I was dripping cold sweat, my hands were ice cold.
With an expression of horror, I plunged into my seat. I was just about to cry, when I realized that it won't help me. Actually, what I needed was some confidence and a clear mind. I closed my eyes and clutched my napkin, I recalled as much as I could have done. When I opened my eyes, I was a totally new person, a confident, bold and brave girl. Then I held the question sheet , read it carefully, and to my surprise, all problems were familiar to me! My practice had payed off. I was very excited and I solved all problems with enthusiasm. This would be the most memorable day of my life as it was today that I discovered a new me. I came to know the power of believing in yourself.
