As it is less denser than water ..hence it comes out at the surface of water.

It is insoluble in water.. So it doesn't dissolve in water...

Hope it helps you my dear friend...

the hydrogen gas is collected downward displacement of water because as it is denser than water the hydrogen gas is highly combustible and get oxidised when it comes in contact of Oxygen and it is impossible to store in an air medium
